HCF & Rotary Partner to Keep the Community Warm This Winter

As the cooler months approach, we have an opportunity to come together and help keep our neighbors warm!  

The Hillsboro Community Foundation is partnering with our friends at the Hillsboro Rotary Club to collect new and gently used winter clothing, which will be available free of charge to anyone in need at ODHS Washington County’s October Free Food Market in Hillsboro.

We are collecting:

• Winter coats and jackets

• Vests and fleeces

• Sweatshirts and other warm layers

• Gloves

• Beanies and warm hats

• Scarves

• Warm clothing for all ages, sizes, and genders

Items may be new or gently used, but all donated clothing should be clean and in good condition, with no stains, rips, tears, or excessive wear. Please consider whether you would feel comfortable handing the item directly to a neighbor who needs it.

You can make donations two ways:

Bring your donations to a Rotary meeting at 12:00-1:00 pm at the Elks Lodge in Hillsboro every Thursday through Thursday, September 24.

Drop off your donation at the Hillsboro Community Foundation office at 225 NE Cornell Road, Hillsboro, OR. The office is located across the street from Kaady Car Wash and is generally open Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
