Community Relief Grants

These tax-deductible contributions to the Hillsboro Community Foundation continue to provide real-time infusions of money necessary to deal with urgent and pressing welfare needs caused by the fires.

The Hillsboro Community Foundation awarded $161,589 in grants to our community partners, Bienestar and the Hillsboro Downtown Partnership, to get assistance into the hands of families and business owners. With $30,000 in funding, Bienestar could relocate, secure new homes, and provide essential services for families whose homes were destroyed in the apartment fire. The Hillsboro Downtown Partnership was granted $131,589 and oversaw the business grant-making process as losses and needs were assessed.

Special thanks to the Hillsboro Rotary Foundation and Intel for helping launch our fundraising efforts. Businesses and neighbors rallied by conducting various fundraisers across Hillsboro. We are proud and gratified that our community came together in such a big way – thank you!

FIRE RELIEF

More than 200 individuals, businesses, and community groups supported our neighbors displaced by the 2022 New Year's Day fires in downtown Hillsboro.
